Along Norway’s wild coast, the Archipelago of Lofoten has a most distinctive scenery of dramatic mountains and peaks, sheltered inlets with sandy beaches and vast untouched stretches of land.
Against the backdrop of Northern Lights in winter and endless midnight sun in summer, True North Village is a series of modern Scandinavian lodges connected to a historic farm.
Seven wooden cabins are perched on the rocky shoreline and offer high end accommodation in contemporary minimalism. Among these, one is home to the Vipp Guesthouse, a design retreat within the True North Village Lofoten.
Each unit consists of a combined living-room and dining-space with a fully fitted kitchen. Four cabins are 70 m2 in size, with two double bedrooms with separate bathrooms for up to four people. Three larger cabins of 90 m2 include an extra bedroom for occupancy of up to six people. All cabins boast amazing views and an outdoor terrace with fireplace.
Step inside the cabins and this archipelago escape turns into pure design escapism. Once inside, a sophisticated interior furnished by Danish design brand VIPP blends comfort, functionality and clean aesthetics.
Dark-toned interiors, punctuated by a few key objects and furniture pieces, allow the dramatic ocean-view and mountains in the background to take centre stage, while wall-to-ceiling windows invite guests to delve into the Arctic’s natural light display or scout for Lofoten’s singular wildlife.
For centuries, Storemolla was home to fishermen and their wooden row boats. Traditional fishing villages along the Lofoten shoreline are dotted with humble one-storey fishermen’s rorbuer / cabins resting on wooden poles in the water. Our cabins are a modern take on this rorbu concept, raised on legs above pointy rock formations fading into the emerald waters.

Exclusive to group-bookings of the True North Village Lofoten, acces to our farm is an integral part of the overall experience.
The thoughtfully renovated farmhouse contains two beautiful double bedroom suites with separate bathrooms, library, living-room, and a kitchen / dining-room for meals up to twelve people.
Our unique boathouse by the sea provides the arena for lunches and dinners up to twenty people, and can be used for social gatherings or professional / corporate meetings .
The farmhouse further includes quarters for staff, with two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living-room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry-room, all with access from a separate entrance.
Our livestock of free-ranging Norwegian coastal goats, pigs, chickens, ducks and more provides a real farmland ambiance, and our vegetable garden offers farm-to-table produce.
